Budget and Finance Committee:
The focus of the Budget and Finance committee is to meet and formulate an operating budget prior to the incoming officers installation in December. The committee shall consist of approximately eight (8) people including the current and incoming Treasurer, current and incoming President, incoming Ways and Means (Fund Raising) Chair, and the Budget Chair. Any other individuals interested in the financial stability of the Chapter may join the committee. The budget is introduced at the first Board Meeting in order to give the board an opportunity to review the proposed budget prior to approval of the Budget. The Budget & Finance Committee shall also conduct a quarterly budget review.
Bylaws Committee:
The Bylaws and Standing Rules committee is responsible for reviewing and amending the Bylaws and Standing Rules of the Tucson Women’s Council of Realtors Chapter as needed. During the year the committee shall publish pertinent sections of the Bylaws and Standing Rules in the WCR Newsletter and on the chapter website in order to educate members.
Chapter Excellence:
The incoming President shall be the chairman of the Chapter Excellence Committee. The committee shall compile and submit the Annual Business Report. Awards are given based on the total number of points a chapter earns during the previous year. Any number of local chapters can be recognized at each award level. The purpose of this award is to demonstrate the value of the Chapter’s membership experience, to recognize and reward chapter attributes and behaviors that best contribute to the mission and goals of WCR, to support consistent delivery of the Women’s Council brand throughout the organization, to clarify and articulate the Women’s Council of Realtors brand aggressively, and to take Chapter Effectiveness to the next level.
Education Committee:
Main goal of the Education Committee is to plan and organize free Education Courses for the benefit of Women’s Council of Realtors members and to invite other realtors to attend. . They also provide an excellent opportunity to share the benefits of Women’s Council membership with non-members and ask them to join..
Hospitality Committee:
The Hospitality Committee responsibilities include creating luncheon flyers for Business Resource Meetings, sending out information on Program Speaker and monthly meeting Sponsors, and emailing members about upcoming WCR events. The Committee also takes luncheon reservations, creates a spreadsheet of attendees, pulls payment verification off the Sage system, and sends a final count to the Viscount Suites. Hospitality committee welcomes and checks in people as they arrive. Committee also chooses monthly menus, orders needed equipment for speakers, tables for Marketing Sponsors, and provides special items and gifts for WCR Business Resource Meeting guest. Hospitality also works with Membership Chair.
Marketing and Public Relations Committee:
Marketing and Public Relations Committee works with Standing Committees to further the mission and goals of the Women’s Council of Realtors. The purpose of this Committee is to inform the real estate community and the general public of newsworthy information regarding the Tucson Chapter. “Newsworthy” information includes recognition of newly appointed officers, officer and member attendance at industry related conferences, and highlights awards and designations earned. Committee sends out information on fundraising and educational events Women’s Council is offering to the real estate community and/or to the general public.
Membership Committee:
The Vice-President of Membership chairs this committee. This important committee works to recruit new members and retain current members of the Tucson Chapter. Committee is also responsibility to notify National and State Women’s Council of Realtors of changes in status and member information. Committee also compiles, publishes the chapter roster, gives monthly updates, and pre-qualifies candidates for National Affiliate membership.
Nominating Committee:
The Chairman of the Nominating Committee is immediate past President. He or she recruits potential candidates for offices of President Elect, Vice President of Membership, Secretary and Treasurer. In addition, the chairman brings forth names of members who qualify for Life Membership in the Tucson Chapter. Any recommendations or questions concerning leadership positions shall be directed to the Nominating Committee Chairman.
Parliamentarian:
The Chapter Parliamentarian assists the Governing Board in the use and implementation of Robert’s Rules of Order. Parliamentarian also answers questions on points of order.
Pledge & Inspiration:
The Chairman of this committee is responsible to select a person to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and choose a speaker to give the inspirational message at each Business Resource Luncheon Meeting.
President’s Advisory:
Women’s Council of REALTORS® Past President shall serve on the Presidential Advisory Committee. She or he shall serve as a valuable resource to encourage members to pursue pathways to Chapter leadership. Past President shall give presentations at New Member Education meetings at the Tucson Association of REALTORS® to promote the benefits of WCR membership. Past President shall also mentor and train future Council leaders. Past President is a voting member of the Governing Board, attends meetings and supports current local chapter President in his or her endeavors.
Programs:
The Programs Chairman plans programs for each Business Resource Meeting that support to one of the five Women’s Council of Realtors Performance Management Areas. The chair also makes arrangements for the Speaker, including hosting, introducing the speaker and providing biographical information about the Speaker to the Hospitality Committee.
Sponsorship Committee:
The Sponsorship Chairman and committee is responsible to recruit monthly meeting sponsors and/or co-sponsors for each Women’s Council of Realtors Business Resource luncheon meetings and to sign up Annual Table Sponsors and Monthly Marketing Table Sponsors.
Strategic Planning Committee:
The current chapter President shall chair the Strategic Planning Committee.
Technology Committee:
The Technology Committee shall make recommendations to the Governing Board concerning management of the website and send recommendations of changes or updates to Webmaster.
Ways and Means Committees:
The fund raising arm of the Chapter is responsible for creating and overseeing fund raising programs. Committee members are in charge of fund raising activities at the General Membership Meetings, as well as chapter fund raising programs and events, such as the Dessert Auction.
